Homework .____.

Assalamualaikum qnd good evening :) here's my question for you guys, why we as a student should do a lots of homework?! I know teachers give a lot of homework because they want us to success in our life but no need to give it too much. Just give us knowledge then the rest we do it by our own. If there's any question we don't understand then we will find you. That's what I called study smart!
